Oil & Gas

SMART-JET gas compressor:

Development of an innovative gas compression process, using a liquid-gas ejector.

YLEC specialties involved: Multiphase Flows, Compressible Flows, Liquid-Gas separation, Microbubbles.

SMART-SEP Liquid-Gas separator:

Development of an innovative gas compression process, using a liquid-gas ejector.

YLEC specialties involved: Multiphase Flows, Liquid-Gas separation, Microbubbles, Coalescence.

 

 

Downhole Liquid-Gas separation:

Development of an innovative static and compact Liquid-Gas separator for downhole gas slugs separation. Application to the intensification of gas wells productivity.

Emulsions generator:

Development of a customized device for the generation of calibrated Oil in Water emulsions :

  • Adjustable oil concentration: C = 40 - 500 ppm
  • Adjustable droplets size: d50 = 10 - 50 µm

OPTISEP downhole Oil/Water separator:

Development of an innovative rotating cyclone for downhole Oil-Water separation.

Energy

Methane extraction from lake KIVU:

Study and optimization of a gas extraction technology for methane gas dissolved in lake KIVU in Rwanda.

YLEC specialties involved: Multiphase Flows, Mass Transfers, Degassing, Microbubbles, Liquid-Gas separation.

Hydraulic Turbines / Wind Turbines:

Hydraulic design of non-conventional low power turbines.

YLEC specialties involved: Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Rotating Machinery, Tests, analytical design methods.

Environment

Solubilisation column:

Study and manufacturing, for CEDRE and Ecole des Mines d’Alès, of a test facility dedicated to the experimental study of gases and liquids dissolution in sea water.

HOVERSPILL Project:

Multi-environment air cushion oil spill fast response and post emergency remediation system.

YLEC specialties involved: Oil-Water separation.

 

CAVHYTE Project:

Use of hydrodynamic cavitation for the treatment of dissolved pollutant. Conceptual solutions, design of test facilities, tests.
